Joel Barlow's boys varsity basketball team was on fire Monday, blasting Oxford 66-37.
When the first quarter buzzer sounded, the Falcons were up 21-12. Barlow's impenetrable defense forced the Wolverines to turn over the ball 28 times in the first half.
Wyatt Tompkins sank nearly a third of Barlow's points, including 12 in the first quarter and a game total three three-pointers. Nolan Stauffer and Phil Moriber added 10 points each.
Barlow's Adam Twersky scored nine and snagged five steals. Jake Lightman scored seven and Steve Michos grabbed 11 rebounds.
Barlow advanced to 5-1 and hosts Kolbe-Cathedral on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
