Two teams from the Aspetuck Wildcats cheerleading won their divisions Sunday at the Candlewood Valley League competition at Brien McMahon High School.
The Division 12 team, whose performance is in the accompanying video, took first place and was selected as the Grand Champions for the competition. The event included 43 teams from league programs in Norwalk, Newtown, Monroe and several New York towns, among other towns.
Aspetuck also took first place in Division 15 and second place in Division 10. The teams will head to state competition in Ridgefield next month and to a regional competition in New Hampshire.
