WESTPORT, Conn. -- Mary Lou DiBella, who used to spend an hour and a half to drive to work, will only have to drive minutes when she takes the reins as the new principal of Kings Highway Elementary School this summer, according to the Westport News.
DiBella, who will be moving from her job as principal of Cabot Elementary School in Newtonville, Mass. to Westport, took the job, in part, she told the Westport News, because four of her five children live and work in Connecticut and New York City, as does her husband. In addition, she said the quality of schools and curriculum, especially at Kings Highway, drew her to accept the job, said the Westport News.
She has been a principal for more than 10 years and has a number of degrees, including a bachelor's of art from Brown University, a master's in human development and a doctorate in developmental and child psychology from the University of Kansas, added the Westport News.
