WESTPORT, CONN. -- Staples High School will be getting a new principal in July, according to a report by Westport News.

James D’Amico, a former social studies teacher who is now the district’s director of secondary education, was tapped Monday for the post by schools Superintendent Elliott Landon, the Westport News reported.

He will replace Mark Karagus, who filled in last year after longtime principal John Dodig retired and the school district hit several snags in its search process, the Westport News story said.
