UPDATED 1/10/11: A Coleytown Elementary School librarian reportedly turned herself in to Westport Police on Wednesday morning after she was allegedly caught on camera stealing prescription medication from a colleague's purse.
Trumbull resident Sarah Spencer, a 22-year school employee, was allegedly caught on a hidden camera, twice, taking prescription painkillers from a teacher's purse in December, Westport Now reported.
According to court records, Spencer, 47, was charged with two counts of sixth-degree larceny, two counts of illegally obtaining a prescription drug (fraud), two counts of possession of narcotics, and two counts of possession of narcotics near a school. She was released on a promise to appear.
Her next court date is set for Jan. 27.
