Weston High School Principal Lisa Deorio sent parents a letter on Monday, Nov. 25, stating that the school became aware of the sexting on Friday, Nov. 22.

A second letter was sent on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from School Superintendent Colleen Palmer notifying parents that the problem was more widespread than administrators originally thought, the Weston Forum reported.

School authorities have already met with the students and parents known to be involved in the incidents. They also held two assemblies on Tuesday, Nov. 26, to discuss the potential legal ramifications of sending such photos, according to the Weston Forum.
