Superintendent Colleen Palmer will leave at the end of the 2015-16 academic year to become the superintendent in Westport.

With Palmer departing on June 30, the board aims to have a new superintendent by July 1, the Weston Forum reported.

According to the Weston Forum, Thomas Jokubaitis, a former superintendent of Wolcott public schools, will head the CES consulting team. Dr. James Ritchie, who served as superintendent in Plainville, will join Jokubaitis in the search.

All stakeholders in the Weston community will be invited to give input in the search process for an outstanding candidate for the position, the Weston Forum said.
