Staples High School English Teacher Dies

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 27-year-old English teacher at Staples High School died on Saturday, Jan. 23, according to the Westport News.

Cody Thomas had worked as a journalist before becoming a teacher. He also was an instructor for the Connecticut Writing Project at Fairfield University and was an advisor for the school's student newspaper, the Westport News reported. 

Members of the emergency crisis team would be available for counsel to students beginning Monday morning, the Westport News said.
