Police Investigate Pellet Gun Found On Weston High Campus

WESTON, Conn. – Weston police were investigating the discovery of a pellet gun in a student’s car on Weston High School’s campus Tuesday. While "several students" have been suspended, officials did not believe there is a threat to the safety of other students.

“The police have the situation under control, and there will be increased security on campus for the remainder of the day,” Superintendent Colleen Palmer said in message to parents Tuesday.

Several students associated with the discovery have been identified and may face consequences, the district said in a press release.

Those students have been suspended from school.

The police activity will not affect the reminder of the school day Tuesday. Schools will dismiss at the regularly scheduled time and after-school activities will carry on as normal, Palmer said.
