WESTPORT, Conn. -- The parents of a Staples High School student who died just before Christmas reportedly appealed to Superintendent Elliott Landon for an investigation as to whether bullying and social media postings were contributing factors to his death, according to the Westport News.

Peter Lanni and Cornelia Gallo, parents of Christopher J. Lanni, 14, publicly expressed their concerns regarding their son's Dec. 23 suicide by providing the media with a letter to Landon requesting an investigation, the Westport News said.
