New Canaan Tutoring Program Signs On 100 Teachers Across Fairfield County

NEW CANAAN, Conn. --  New Canaan-based Teachers Who Tutor CT just signed up its 100th tutor, the company announced.

Teachers Who Tutor CT founder Steven Eno, like many parents, knows firsthand how difficult it can be to find a good tutor.

The company, which started in the fall, matches parents and students with certified teachers who tutor the subjects they teach, everything from elementary school reading to advanced placement physics, throughout Fairfield County.

"I was confident teachers would be interested but didn’t expect to grow this fast,” said founder Steven Eno.

“Teachers are clearly looking for a new way to reach prospective tutoring students. And based on personal experience, I know that parents need a better way to find a qualified tutor. With 100 teachers and counting, Teachers Who Tutor CT is that better way," he said.

Eno says his company was founded because:

  • Almost every student needs help sometimes.
  • Whether it’s help with basic concepts or an otherwise straight A student struggling with one subject, tutoring can make the difference.
  • Teachers make the best tutors.
  • A teacher knows the curriculum and has been trained to teach.
  • Finding a great tutor should be easy.
  • It shouldn’t take hours of research or asking friends to find a tutor.
