WESTPORT, Conn. -- School Superintendent Elliott Landon presented his last budget proposal, reflecting a 2 percent increase in spending over the existing budget for Westport schools, the Westport News said.
Landon, who is retiring at the end of the school year, made the budget proposal Tuesday, Jan. 5, the Westport News reported.
He said contract negotiations with staff and administrators accounted for a big part of the proposed increase, according to the Westport News.
The Board of Education will begin a detailed review of Landon’s spending plan with a public work session on the budget beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, the story said.
