The day will begin at Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius with a  9 a.m. Mass celebrated by Rev. Frank J. Caggiano, Bishop of Bridgeport, and Rev. Rick Ryscavage, S.J., founding director of the Center for Faith and Public Life at Fairfield University.

The Mass will be followed by a breakfast and talk by National Leadership Roundtable Executive Kerry Robinson in the nearby Oak Room in the Barone Campus Center.

“As the Diocese moves forward with its own reorganization plan and with Synod 2014 to plan for the future, we welcome the thoughts of Kerry Robinson on best practices and the most efficient use of resources,” said Caggiano. “Her work directly addresses the Catholic social teaching principles of human dignity, solidarity and subsidiarity.”

The National Leadership Roundtable organization is comprised of laity, religious, and clergy working together to promote best practices in the management, finances and human resource development of the Catholic Church in the U.S.

Following the talk, an award ceremony will be held.

This year’s Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice Business Leadership Award will be presented to digital-marketing industry executive Al DiGuido. A resident of Westport, he also is founder of Al’s Angel’s, which supports children affected by financial hardships and those struggling with cancer. He also is a member of St. Matthew Parish in Norwalk.

As the former CEO of Zeta Interactive, DiGuido has more than 20 years of marketing, sales and management experience. He is a frequent expert guest on FOX Business News, MSNBC and CNN.
