WESTON, Conn., -- A 16-year Board of Education veteran in Weston is once again seeking to be elected to the position.
Ellen Uzenoff and her husband Bob, have lived in Weston since 1983, and have two children, Sarah and Andrew who attended Weston schools from kindergarten to 12th grade.
"My work on the Board of Education has included the development of curriculum, communication, finance, maintenance and improvement of facilities, contract negotiations, policy, and strategic planning for both the schools and the town," she said in a statement.
Uzenoff said she has worked diligently and collegially to create the best educational program that supports each child as they prepare to meet the challenges of the future. It is a huge responsibility that she doesn't take lightly, she said.
"I believe that we all come together in Weston with great pride to maintain this tradition of excellence in education, and the BOE mandate is to create that program for our students, while exercising the most responsible fiscal oversight and management to support it," Uzenoff said.
"I love this challenge, and I respectfully ask for your support to continue this most important work. Please come out and vote on No. 3."
