EASTON, Conn. -- Easton native Matt Kynoch was part of a team of Clemson University biology students who won first place in a recent national wildlife biology contest.

Kynoch's team won for the student research in progress poster category for its poster "The effect of artificial increase in coyote presence on nesting bobwhite quail and potential nest predators,"

The team's project, which focused on mammalian predator ecology, was led by wildlife ecology professor Greg Yarrow and wildlife and fisheries biology Ph.D. student Cady Etheredge.
