EASTON, Conn. -- The Easton Board of Education will host a budget workshop at Helen Keller Middle School on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m.
Proposed additions to the budget that will be discussed include: maintaining current average class size in kindergarten through eighth grade amid a declining student population and adding a new K-8 math program.
There will be opportunities for public comment at the start and end of the meeting.
The current budget proposal calls for a 1.49 percent increase in spending on the town's schools.
The Board of Education will present its final version of the budget to the Board of Finance on March 12.
