Come see a simulated disaster scene, listen to senior speak-outs, watch the senior dance class, hear the a capella choir sing and eat hot dogs at Joel Barlow High School's 5th annual Barlow Palooza on May 26.
"It's a celebration of learning and community," said Thomas McMorran, principal at Joel Barlow High School.
Members of the Easton and Redding community can watch students roll clay on the pottery wheel, make jewelry and tie-dye clothes with the chemistry class. There will also be artwork from high school students as well as students from the middle and elementary schools adorning the hallways. Learn about the students' CapStone and Spanish 6 community service projects and hear the jazz band play.
Physical science, applied science, world language and AP English classes will also present projects from class.
A video slideshow from last year's Barlow Palooza shows hallways crowded with students and adults learning about the different projects the students took part in all year.
Barlow Palooza will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at Joel Barlow High School, 100 Black Rock Turnpike.
