WESTON, Conn. -- Sixty-three full-time teachers in Weston will make salaries in excess of $100,000 in 2016-17, while 62 additional teachers will earn in excess of $90,000, according to the Weston Forum.
The salaries are covered by the total value of $31 million for school officials, teachers and support personnel, the town's Board of Education is requesting, said the Weston Forum.
The salary requests reflect an increase of 3.5 percent from this year's budget total, reported the Weston Forum.
About 63 percent of the approximately $49.3 million proposed school budget is for salaries, according to the Weston Forum.
