WESTPORT, Conn. – A group of 12 seniors from Westport’s Staples High School have been selected as finalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship program.
Clayton Andrews, Robert DeLuca, Judy Feng, Jason Hoving, Blythe Lewis, Leo McElroy, Michael Menz, Douglas Russ, Marcus Russi, Jordan Shenhar, Felton Weller and Tiffany Yang are among approximately 15,000 finalists nationwide competing for available scholarships.
Approximately 8,300 students will be scholarship winners, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation website. Winners will be notified beginning in March.
In September, 18 Staples seniors were selected as semifinalists in the program.
