WESTPORT, Conn. -- Mary Crist enjoys all aspects of real estate. The joy extends to teaching others how to get their careers on track, and the office leader of the Westport office for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties is extending an opportunity to help others become real estate agents.
With support from Berkshire Hathaway, Crist is inviting people new to the business or the agency to show them the tools of the trade. Aspiring real estate professionals can tap into the plethora of Virtual Instructor led classes and pre-recorded programs offered through Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
“This is an exciting time in real estate,’’ said Crist, who has been a Realtor for 14 years. “The conditions are perfect for people who are considering a career change or want to become a member of a new team. The market is hot, rates are low and it’s a great time to get into the business.”
Opening Doors, a one day training course, paves the way for all professionals at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties. The program is fast-paced and filled with information, introductions and networking.
CORE (Creating Opportunities in Real Estate) is Berkshire Hathaway’s training offered to newly licensed associates. It focuses on the root of real estate – creating memorable home buying and home selling experiences for clients while utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.
Connections is Berkshire Hathaway’s program for experienced sales executives. They are immersed into integrating the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties’ value proposition with their experience and expertise to create a winning combination to service buyers and sellers.
Paulette Meijer, a 30-year real estate veteran with a strong background in Education and Training, leads the training team for Berkshire. Utilizing the skills learned in her classroom, Meijer helps real estate professionals reach high levels of growth and accomplishment in a shorter time period than in conventional classrooms. Her approach inspires people to think objectively and expand their desire to grow.
Crist said learning is essential to growth and the foundation of success for Realtors. “Putting these methods into practice creates maximum results,’’ Crist said. “The business is constantly evolving. It’s up to Realtors to learn the latest technologies and keep up-to-date to maximize their potential.”
