The motorist told police she’d opened the trunk of her 2007 Toyota Camry after coming out of Garfield Farms with packages a little after 3 p.m. yesterday when she was approached from behind.

After cutting her on the left hand, the robber snatched her keys and drove off in the car, heading through the parking lot onto Van Winkle Avenue going west, the woman said.

She described her assailant as white, 35-40 years old, with blond hair tied into a ponytail, a dark shirt and light-colored pants, Capt. Darren Sucorowski said.

EMS responded to tend to the woman’s injury, the captain said.

The Toyota’s license plate: VSV42W

Sucorowski asked that anyone with information about the incident call police: (973) 478-8500
