The Saint Pio Foundation is national charity organization with the goal to support educational, social and cultural projects that enhance both nationally and internationally the awareness of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, acclaimed as one of the most venerated contemporary saints of the Catholic Church.

The funds raised by the foundation are used to establish faithful Catholic medical facilities, medical schools and shrines in the United States of America, and to commit a percentage of its donations to support the hospital Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, founded by Saint Pio in 1956, and currently owned by the Holy See.

The not to be missed event, part of the initiative "Singing for Saint Pio," is also the first ever organized by the Saint Pio Foundation in Connecticut.

The exclusive event, organized with the support of the Diocese of Bridgeport and the St. Padre Pio Society at St. Margaret Shrine of Bridgeport, will feature a performance by the Acclaimed Italian Tenor Luciano Lamonarca, the Pop Singer Daniela Fiorentino, the guitarist Chris Remediani, the duo Balint/Mikhailoff, and an intermission by the well known stand-up comedian Regina DeCicco. Special performing guest will be the internationally acclaimed pianist, music producer, musician and actor Lee Curreri, star of the acclaimed motion picture and television series “Fame,” in the part of Bruno Martelli.

Guest of honor for the evening will be Bridgeport Bishop Frank Joseph Caggiano, who is also member of the Religious Advisory Board of the Saint Pio Foundation. There is a suggested donation of $20.
