Peekskill Man Charged With Condominium Burglary

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – A city resident is being held in connection with a burglary at a city condominium complex, police said.

Tyrone Farmer, 56, of Peekskill, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, on Rolling Way by Sgt. Ray Henderlong and Officer Chris Vazeos.

Farmer was charged following an investigation into an alleged break-in at a condominium in the Hillcrest Park Condominium Complex, Henderlong said. The residence had been entered through a sliding glass door that allegedly was forcibly opened by Farmer, police said.

A neighbor reported the theft of merchandise to police, including jewelery and computer software.

"He was another condominium resident," Henderlong said. "Everything stolen was recovered."

Farmer was held for arraignment in city court without bail.
