WESTPORT, Conn. -- State Rep. Jonathan Steinberg (D-136th District) will seek his forth term representing Westport in the General Assembly in November, according to the Westport News.
Steinberg was first elected state representative in 2010.
Before that, he served on the Westport Representative Town Meeting, the town's legislative body for seven years. During his tenure, he was elected unanimously as deputy moderator three times and chaired four RTM committees: Information Technology, Library Museum & the Arts, Health & Human Services, and the ad hoc Communications Committee.
Steinberg returned to Westport in 1996 with his wife, Nancy, to raise their family in his hometown. Their three daughters all attended Westport schools.
