WESTPORT, Conn. —  Incumbent Republican Jim Marpe has claimed victory in his bid for another term as Westport First Selectman, according to the Connecticut Post

Marpe and his running mate Jennifer Tooker faced a challenge from Democrats Melissa Kane and running mate Rob Simmelkjaer and two petitioning candidates, John F. Suggs and Timothy J. Elgin.

“I really appreciate the confidence Westport voters put in me,” Marpe told supporters, according to the Post.
