Westport Voters Head To The Polls For Municipal Election

WESTPORT, Conn. — Westport voters can cast their ballots in Tuesday's municipal election from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Westport residents Tuesday will head to the polls to elect either Helen Garten or Jim Marpe as the town's next First Selectman.

The top race this year is for First and Second Selectman. The Republican team of Jim Marpe and Avi Kaner are challenging Democrats Helen Garten and Melissa Kane. Current First Selectman Gordon Joseloff, a Democrat, is not seeking re-election. 

Other races include Board of Education, Planning and Zoning, Board of Finance, Probate Judge, Representative Town Meeting, Board of Assessment Appeals and Zoning Board of Appeals. To see the full ballot, click here.

District 1: Saugatuck Elementary School, Gym 170 Riverside Ave.

District 2: Saugatuck Elementary School, Gym 170 Riverside Ave.

District 3: Coleytown Middle School, Gym 255 North Ave.

District 4: Greens Farms School, Auditorium 17 Morningside Drive S.

District 5: Greens Farms School, Gym 17 Morningside Drive S.

District 6: Long Lots School, Gym 13 Hyde Lane

District 7: Long Lots School, Gym 13 Hyde Lane

District 8: Coleytown Middle School, Gym 255 North Ave.

District 9: Westport Library 20 Jesup Road

Connecticut will allow same-day Election Day voter registration for residents who are not signed up to vote or who want to change the town in which they vote. Election Day registration in Westport will be in the Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave., from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Proof of residency and identity will be required.
