WESTPORT, Conn. — The Westport Representative Town Meeting has unanimously approved spending $200,000 to finish a sidewalk construction project, according to the Westport News.
The project involves building a new sidewalk along Imperial Avenue and repairing the sidewalk along upper Main Street north of the downtown district, the News said.
The project became the source of a dispute when funding dried up last year before the initial work was complete, Westport News said.
The project was supposed to be completed with $500,000 in state grant money, but part of the funding was used to beautify the downtown streetscape, Westport News said.
