WESTPORT, Conn. – The Westport Republican Town Committee is seeking candidates to run for the Board of Education, the Board of Finance, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Assessment Appeals in this November’s municipal election.
The Board and Commissions Nominating Committee of the RTC, to be led by 2012 GOP Congressional candidate Steve Obsitnik, will begin interviewing candidates this month, the RTC announced. The committee will recommend candidates for nomination to the full RTC, which will vote on the nominations at its July 16 meeting.

The RTC will nominate three candidates for Board of Education, one candidate for Board of Finance, one candidate for Zoning Board of Appeals and one candidate for Board of Assessment Appeals.
Election Day is Nov. 5.
