Westport P&Z Commission To Hear Amendment On Corporate Park District Zone

WESTPORT, Conn. -- On April 9, the Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to review a text amendment to the Westport Zoning Regulations, said Laurence Bradley, Westport's planning and zoning director. 

Text Amendment #690 (Application #15-013) has been submitted by attorney Eric Bernheim, to the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission to modify the zoning regulations to make changes to the Corporate Park District Zone on the Post Road.

The proposed amendment specifically makes the following requests: To amend §27-2.1.1 (CPD Zone - Permitted Uses), to add the word “or;” to amend §27-2.1.2 (CPD Zone - Permitted Uses) to add a new section that says, “Corporate offices located on the south side of the Post Road for business, professional, financial or other institutional uses, exclusive of healthcare professionals, medical or dental uses and retail financial institutions;” and to amend §27-2.2.1 (CPD Zone – Special Permit Uses) to add the words “for properties located on the north side of the Post Road.” 

All those interested in these amendments are encouraged to attend the Planning and Zoning Commission’s public hearing on April 9 at 7 p.m. in the Westport Town Hall.

Copies of the amendment are available for viewing in Town Hall both in the P&Z Office and in the office of the Town Clerk. The Commission can receive written comments from the public in advance of the hearing. Once the hearing is closed, no more information or comments will be accepted.
