WESTPORT, Conn. -- Town Clerk Patricia Strauss has announced that the Town Clerk’s office will be open for absentee voting this Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The special office hours are scheduled to accommodate voters applying for an absentee ballot to vote in one of the presidential preferential primaries to be held on Tuesday, April 26.
The primaries are open to all voters enrolled in the Democratic or Republican party.
Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
They will be available through Monday, April 25, until 4:30 p.m.
Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, when the polls officially close.
The Town Clerk’s office reminds voters that mail may take longer than expected, and requests for ballots must be received in time to mail and be returned by 8 p.m. on the night of the primary.
