WESTPORT, Conn. -- Reworking of the parking at the Saugatuck train station in Westport is being held up due to a 3:3 tie vote Tuesday, reported the Westport News.

The work plan requiring an appropriation of $1.5 million came under heavy scrutiny by those on the Representative Town Meeting Transit Committee, according to the Westport News.

The committee heard from Deputy Director of Public Works John Broadbin about the project who explained 10 parking spots would be lost in the plan, and that five exit points were not in step with DOT standards requiring a scale back to one, the Westport News reported.
