The pair submitted their resignations to the town clerk’s office on Sept. 21, with an effective date of Dec. 31, the Weston Forum said.

During a selectmen’s meeting at that time, Brasco read a statement into the record citing fundamental differences with then-First Selectman Gayle Weinstein. According to Brasco, she and Weinstein could not work together, the Weston Forum said.

However, with a change in town leadership following the election, the pair have rescinded their resignations, the Weston Forum said.

Weinstein lost her re-election bid to Nina Daniel in November.
