Weston Voters Approve Budgets For Town, School, Capital Projects

WESTON, Conn. — Voters across Weston went to the polls again Thursday, this time casting ballots to approve the 2016-17 town, school and capital budgets, according to the Weston Forum.

These were the budget items and vote totals, according to the Forum:

  • Town operating budget of $12.497 million approved, 533 to 40;
  • Board of Education operating budget of $48.9 million approved 509 to 63; and
  • Capital budget of $687K approved 526 to 47.

The Board of Finance will officially set the mill rate, which is expected to be 28.56, or .11 lower than this year, the Forum said.
