WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Republican Town Committee unanimously voted in a new member at its April meeting as Joseph Colaprico returns to the RTC after stepping down in 2009 to focus on his career and young family.
We are so happy to have Joseph back on the Weston RTC. His keen understanding of strategic communications and social media is a real asset, said Britta Lerner, chair of the Weston RTC.
Joseph joins a growing number of RTC members who have children in our school system and who have made a commitment to raise their families in Weston. We have a balanced, multigenerational mix of members and its fantastic to see the mutual respect and collaboration that comes from that.
Joseph Colaprico, his wife, Katia, and their young children moved to Weston in 2006. All three daughters attend the Weston Public Schools. Colaprico's background is in software development for the financial industry. His skills also include web design, e-commerce, marketing and electronic media.
I look forward to reuniting with those of you on the committee that I know, and starting new friendships with those unacquainted. As a member of the RTC I will be a voice for conservative principals and accountable government within our community," Colaprico said in accepting a seat on the RTC .
The Weston RTC has one more vacancy on its board to fill at this time. Any Republican who would like to serve is invited to send a letter of interest to the Weston Republican Town Committee, attention Dawn Rivera, RTC vice chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org .
The Weston Republican Town Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Members of the community are always welcome to attend. For more information, go to www.westonrtc.org .
