Weston Appoints Bernhard, Sullivan To Town Counsel Spots

WESTON, CONN. – G. Kenneth Bernhard, an attorney with expertise in municipal and real estate law, has been reappointed as town counsel by the Weston Board of Selectmen, according to The Weston Forum.

Bernhard, who held the position from 2000-09, is currently the town attorney for Wilton, according to his LinkedIn page. He has also served at town attorney for Westport. And from 1997 to 2005, he was Westport's state representative and served as assistant minority leader in Connecticut's General Assembly, his LinkedIn biography said.

Patricia Sullivan, Bernhard’s law partner at Cohen and Wolf in the firm's Bridgeport office, was appointed at the board’s Tuesday, Dec. 22, meeting as associate town counsel, the newspaper reported.

Sullivan was appointed town attorney for Weston in 2009, having previously served as associate town attorney (since 2000), according to her biography on Cohen and Wolf's website.

She is also the associate town attorney for the towns of Wilton (since 1992) and Ridgefield (since 2000), her bio said. She also served as assistant town attorney for Westport from 1991-93 and as interim assistant town attorney from 1997-98.
