“I am gratified that Dana and Jenny have stepped forward to serve on the RTC. They each bring strengths which will help us build on the success of the November elections," said Britta Lerner, Chair of the RTC.

Troxell and his wife, Anne, have lived in Weston for 24 years. They have raised their four children there and all have attended Weston public schools. The Troxells are members of Norfield Church where he has served on the Board of Trustees, most recently as treasurer.

Troxell is president of Miller/Howard Investments. In putting his nomination forth, he said, “Membership in the RTC would allow me the opportunity to personally contribute to the community that has given us so much, and I would be pleased and honored to become a member."

Mitchell and her husband, Max, have been Weston residents for 12 years. Three of their four children are graduates of Weston High School where the youngest is currently a senior. She is an active member of Norfield Church and the Weston Neighbors and Newcomers Club. And she was a registered hygienist.

Mitchell said she decided to seek a position on the Weston RTC because she feels everyone should be involved in their community in some way. “You live here, take pride in your town. The Weston RTC is a wonderful group of people that really care what happens in our town. I got tired of telling myself 'I should do this' and decided to say, 'I will!'”

The Weston Republican Town Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
