Murphy and his casework staff assists individuals in all parts of the state with matters related to federal agencies, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

This work is focused on ensuring that his constituents’ rights are respected, that they receive monies they are owed and that any procedural errors they encounter are corrected.

For example, his office has helped secure VA benefits for Connecticut veterans whose applications are stalled in the VA backlog.

Murphy’s office also offers mobile office hours, allowing constituents who need assistance to meet with a member of the senator’s casework staff in person.

“While Washington has been mired in maddening levels of partisan gridlock this year, helping people in Connecticut deal with federal agencies and get what they’re owed is the most rewarding work that a congressional office does,” said Murphy in the release.

Connecticut residents can immediately request Murphy’s assistance through the casework section of his Senate website or by calling his Hartford office at 860-549-8463.
