To the Editor:

This past August I attended the Forum on Insurance Rate Increases that Tony Hwang sponsored. Tony’s command of the issues and his understanding of the intricacies of this challenging health insurance environment are impressive. He truly listened to what people had to say. His honest discussion of what is broken and ideas about how to fix it were inspiring. Again Tony shows us, he is not just giving lip service to what’s important to his constituents; he understands the detail. Hard to help fix the problem if you don’t understand it.

It is so refreshing to see a politician involved in so many bipartisan efforts. A lesser statesman would have given up on bipartisan efforts long ago – it can’t be easy. But without someone reaching across the aisle, nothing gets done. Thank you Senator Hwang.

Tony continues to concentrate on the right things that are going to help turn this mess around. He’s focused on job creation and making it easier to do business in our state. Tony’s voice on CT’s spending habits must continue to be heard, now more than ever. He has helped make positive change in our state with his candid and caring approach.

We must keep Senator Hwang in Hartford so he can continue to fight for the health of our state and the benefit of our citizens.
