Dunsby, the first selectman in neighboring Easton, is running to fill the seat currently held by state Rep. John Shaban, who is not seeking re-election but is running for Congress in the 4th District.

Dunsby was joined by John Stripp, former state representative for the district, and by Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton during the campaign stop.

The other candidate for the seat is Bonnie Troy of the Green Party.

Dunsby intends to also remain first selectman in Easton if he wins the House race.

The 135th House District includes Easton, Redding and Weston.
