WESTON, Conn. -- Chris Spaulding is first selectman Gayle Weinstein’s Democratic running mate for the Board of Selectmen.
He has worked on shaping Weston’s future for the past five years through his involvement on the Conservation Commission, and the Commission for Children & Youth.
As co-author of the Weston Strategic Plan, Spaulding has played a critical role in developing the initial phase for our town’s strategic planning, which will create a long-term vision to protect Weston’s character while maintaining high quality schools in the face of changing national demographics and improving the quality of life for all residents. He said that he and Weinstein will be proactive in planning for Weston's future.
Spaulding and his wife, Sara, have lived and worked in Weston for 11 years. They are active in the community and have two children who attend Weston Public Schools. He holds a doctorate from Harvard University and is a marketing strategy consultant and an executive/leadership coach.
“As a parent of two young children, I am looking at Weston’s long-term sustainability, in terms of managing taxes, growing social services, building community, protecting the environment, and supporting our outstanding school district,” he said.
