WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 43-year-old Waterbury man was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and several motor vehicle violations after he was spotted driving the wrong-way down a Westport road, police said.
Rony Rodriguez was pulled over after traveling down the one-way section of Post Road East in the wrong direction Oct. 11, police said.
Rodriguez's license was suspended and the plates did not belong to the uninsured vehicle he was driving, police said.
He was arrested after a search of the vehicle turned up a bottle containing 22 narcotic pills with no name on the bottle, police said.
Rodriguez was released after posting $1,000 bond and issued a court date of Oct. 19 in Norwalk court.
