WESTPORT, Conn. – A 49-year-old Westport woman turned herself in to police Wednesday morning on a warrant charging her with drunk driving, police said.
Patricia McMahon, of Danbury Avenue, was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of her car at Longshore Club Park on Aug. 20, police said. The car was parked partially off the right side of the road, the police report said.
It took several tries to wake McMahon, police said. After she work up, the officer asked her what she had to drink, to which she replied “vodka,” police said. As she was unable to stand up on her own, field sobriety tests were not conducted.
She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor, and released after posting a $5,000 bond. She is due in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 12.
