WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport woman was charged Friday with drunken driving after a car crash in February, police said.
Jeannette Harkin, 33, was charged with operating under the influence. She posted $500 bond and will appear in court April 17.
The arrest stems from a car accident on Riverside Avenue on Feb. 12, in which Harkin was taken to the hospital, police said. While on the scene, officers detected an odor of alcohol on Harkin's breath, police said.
A search warrant was conducted for her blood alcohol content, which was found to be .259, well above the legal limit, according to police reports.
A warrant was issued for Harkin's arrest, and she turned herself in to police on Friday.
