Westport Teen Charged With Stealing From His Mom

WESTPORT, Conn. – A 19-year-old Westport resident turned himself in to police Wednesday on two warrants charging him with being involved in the theft of his mother’s credit card, Westport police said.

Salvatore Uscilla, of Long Lots Road, is accused of accompanying another suspect who had stolen Uscilla's mother’s credit card and used it at various places, the police report said. Uscilla also is accused of cashing a $500 check the same suspect had stolen from Uscilla's mom, police said. The alleged incidents happened in April.

Uscilla was charged with credit card theft, conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. He was released after posting two bonds of $5,000 and $2,500 and is due in court July 19.
