Westport Police: Woman Stole From Elderly Patient

WESTPORT, Conn. — A 22-year-old Trumbull woman was arrested Tuesday by Westport police on a warrant charging her with stealing from an elderly Westport woman she was caring for, police said.

Sasha Garcia, who worked as a home companion, is accused of forging four checks she stole from her elderly patient in May, the police report said.

Garcia was charged with four counts of sixth-degree larceny, a misdemeanor, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree forgery. She was released after posting $10,000 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 21.
