Westport Police: Tenant Facing Eviction Threatened To Shoot Landlord

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport man was charged with threatening to shoot his landlord after being evicted this weekend, according to police.

Police were dispatched to a Weston Road address in Westport on Saturday at around 11 p.m. on a report of a disturbance. The person who called said that he had recently initiated the eviction process against a tenant who rents a room from him, according to police.

The tenant, identified as 43-year-old Jamie Green, had become upset and threatened to shoot the landlord, frightening other people in the home, according to police. Green was taken into custody and charged with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 8.
