WESTPORT, Conn. — A Norwalk woman was charged Tuesday with assaulting an emergency worker when she scratched and fought with an employee last month at St. Vincent’s Behavioral Medical Health Center, police said.
Police officers were called to the Long Lots Road facility on September 6 on a report of a woman arguing with an employee, who sustained scratches to the face and forearms, police said.
Tanya Lewis, 32, of Hyatt Avenue, who is not an employee, turned herself in on a warrant Tuesday and was charged with assault on emergency personnel, police said.
She was held on $20,000 bond and taken to court the same day, police said.
