Aimed at enhancing communication and fostering a better understanding between kids and local police, the club will include monthly meetings, team building and community service projects that will provide opportunities for both groups to work together.

By teaming up students and police in a non-enforcement capacity, the program seeks to continue strengthening a healthy community with a foundation of mutual respect.

The initiative is being funded through a grant award from the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management and its Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee.

Space for the program is limited, and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 3. Permission slips are available by clicking here.
