WESTPORT, Conn. — An apparently drunken Westport man didn’t have much luck getting into his neighbor’s house early Monday, police said.
Officers responded to a Sniffen Road residence at 1:30 a.m. on a report from the homeowner that someone was banging on his door and yelling to to let him in, police said.
Ariel Aparicio-Jarro, of 1 Sniffen Road, was found walking around the exterior of the house by officers, police said.
Police said the suspect appeared to be intoxicated.
Aparicio-Jarro had left his 9-year-old and 3-year-old children in his house unattended during the incident, police said.
He was charged with breach of peace and two counts of risk of injury to a child, police said.
Aparicio-Jarro was held on $1,000 bond and was issued a court date of Sept. 10, police said.
