Westport Police Charge Bridgeport Man With Sexual Assault

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 23-year-old Bridgeport man is facing a charge of fourth-degree sexual assault after fondling a victim in an incident last month, Westport police said.

The Westport Police Department took 23-year-old Bridgeport resident John Norris into custody on a warrant for his arrest.

On Wednesday, the Westport Police Department took John Norris into custody on a warrant for his arrest. Police had received the complaint of an alleged sexual assault, which occurred in town, on Sept.5.

The victim told police that the suspect had touched an intimate part of her body during the incident.

Norris, a Bridgeport resident, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault. He was unable to post $1,500 bond and was held for a court date of Oct. 15 at Norwalk Court.
